How It All Started
It all began with a simple idea – I love to design and sew my own home decor items. Instead of hunting through distant fabric shops and searching online, I would open my very own fabric shop. I choose fabrics from the top manufacturers - Michael Miller, Riley Blake, Timeless Treasures Fabrics, Dear Stella, Figo, Northcott, QT Fabrics, and Robert Kaufman just to name a few. I started by selling online through my website, offering a wide range of fabrics that I carefully handpicked. The response was overwhelming, and I knew I had stumbled upon something special.
As the demand grew, I decided to expand my business by offering shopping by appointment and local porch pick up. This allowed me to connect with my customers on a more personal level and provide them with a unique shopping experience.
A Dream Taking Shape
While I continued to serve my customers through these channels, I couldn't help but dream of having a physical storefront. A place where fabric lovers could come and immerse themselves in a world of colors, patterns, and textures. A place where they could touch and feel the fabrics before making their purchase.
As I searched for the perfect location, I realized that it's very difficult to find the perfect retail space. A shop needs ample square footage, a great community location and unique vibe inside. I needed a space to organize my ever-growing fabric collections. My office is a great spot for my latest fabric arrivals, but little did I know that it would soon be bursting at the seams.
A Beautiful Chaos
Since the picture was taken a few months ago, my office, the loft and spare rooms have transformed into a fabric wonderland. Bolts of fabric are piled high on top of shelves, occupying every nook and cranny. It's a beautiful chaos, a testament to my passion for fabrics.
Every day, new fabrics arrive, each more beautiful than the last. From vibrant florals, geometrics, cat and dog themes – my collection continues to grow, offering endless possibilities for creative projects for my fellow sewists.
